Sri Ramachandra Faculty of Nursing, in collaboration with the Department of Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism, observed World Diabetes Day 2025 on 14th November at Sri Ramachandra Hospital. The event, themed “Diabetes and Well-Being,” featured a Walkathon, Quiz, Poster Presentation, Role Play, and a series of scientific sessions. The programme commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Ramesh C, Professor & Head, Department of Medical Surgical Nursing. Dr. Shriraam Mahadevan, Head, Department of Endocrinology, unfolded the theme, followed by the keynote address by Dr. S. Santhi, Vice Principal, Faculty of Nursing. Special address were delivered by Dr. Surendran P, Medical Superintendent, and the event was inaugurated by Dr. K. Balaji Singh, Dean, SRMC & RI. Scientific sessions included, Newer Insulins” by Dr. Shriraam Mahadevan, Nursing Concerns in In-patient Diabetes Care” by Dr. Adlyne Reena Asirvatham, Yoga and Diabetes Well-Being” by Dr. Vijayalakshmi P. Second-year B.Sc. Nursing students presented a role play on lifestyle modifications in diabetes care. With 200 participants, the event reinforced the importance of awareness, clinical insight, and holistic approaches to diabetes management.

The event began with a respectful floral tribute to Wilhelm Röntgen, honoring his pioneering contributions to the field of X-ray technology. The program featured insightful presentations by experienced radiographers and an informative session by Fujifilm, highlighting the latest advancements and innovations in radiology. With the participation of approximately 110 attendees, the event provided a valuable platform for learning, professional engagement, and enhanced understanding of contemporary radiological practices.

Sri Ramachandra Faculty of Audiology & Speech Language Pathology proudly congratulates Ms. Sharon Mizpah Prathana C, Assistant Professor, Department of Speech Language Pathology, for receiving the “Best Platform Presentation Award – Original Category” at the International Dysphagia Conclave 2025. Her award-winning research, “Profiling Feeding Patterns and Practices among 6–12-month-old Infants: A Cross-Sectional Study,” was co-authored by Ms. Ravichandran Lakshana and Prof. Lakshmi Venkatesh. We also extend our heartfelt congratulations to Ms. Priyanka Srikumar, proud alumna of SRFASLP, for securing the “Best Poster Presentation Award – Case Report Category” for her case report titled “Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) in an Adult: Assessment & Management of Feeding and Swallowing.” This work was co-authored by Ms. Subathra Balakrishnan, Prof. Lakshmi Venkatesh, and Prof. Prasanna Kumar.
