MGM Healthcare Malar, Adyar brought together specialists from the Departments of Paediatrics & Neonatology and Obstetrics & Gynaecology for the Perinatal Nexus CME, a focused academic session on advancing care across the maternal–fetal–newborn continuum.
The discussions centred on “Fetal Doppler in IUGR,” “The Metabolic Tightrope: Balancing Nutrition and NEC Risk,” and “Womb to Cradle: Collaborative Frontiers in Perinatology,” highlighting how timely fetal assessment, optimal nutritional strategies, and coordinated care can significantly improve outcomes. The sessions emphasized practical, evidence-based approaches to managing growth-restricted pregnancies and minimizing neonatal complications, while ensuring a seamless transition of care from the womb to the neonatal period.
It was a collaborative platform that reinforced the importance of teamwork between obstetricians, neonatologists, and paediatricians in delivering safer, more informed care for both mother and baby.
