Republic Day, celebrated annually on January 26 marks the enactment of India's constitution 📖 and the country's transition to a republic nation.

Although India 🇮🇳 had achieved independence from Britain 🇬🇧 on August 15, 1947 , it remained governed largely by the colonial Government of India Act of 1935.

After which, a constituent assembly 👥️ elected by provincial assemblies initiated drafting a constitution that would govern the newly independent nation.
With the 1950 constitution, the country was officially known as the Republic of India — a sovereign socialist secular democratic republic that secures all its citizens justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity.

The most awaited event ,a ceremonious massive parade which includes cultural ✨️ , historical ⏳️, and military 🪖 displays takes place at the Kartavya path, which is performed to highlight India's unity 🫂 in diversity and its rich cultural heritage by showcasing beautiful tableaus representing every state .
Thousands of people gather along the path in order to witness this once in a year experience .The festivities officially come to a close on January 29 with the Beating Retreat Ceremony in New Delhi 🏛 , where bands from the Indian Army 🪖 , Navy 🚢, and Air Force 🛫 perform.

YRC wishes everyone a proud 74th Republic Day ✨

On January 25, National Voter's Day 2023 is observed to commemorate the founding day of the Election Commission of India, which was created on that date in 1950. The National Voters Day 2023 celebration was chosen by the Indian government as a way to inspire young people to get involved in politics. The first National Voters Day was observed on January 25, 2011, and ever since then, it has been observed on January 25 with a particular theme. 🇮🇳🇮🇳

Every year, a different method is employed to mark this event. This year will mark the 12th annual National Voters’ Day in 2023. On this occasion, National Awards will also be granted to participants for their remarkable contributions to the participation of voters, including EC icons, government agencies, and media organisations.

And yeah, as we all know we are at the 3rd day of Pongal festival known as "Maatu Pongal" 🐄 which is intensionally celebrated to thank the hard-working person in the field, the cow 🐮 and other living animals on this special occasion.

It's a thanksgiving festival ❤️ for the cattle and farming livestock ✨. Though the name of the festival is specific to TamilNadu, it is also celebrated in other southern Indian states such as Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.

This festival day is also a special occasion💫 when the landlord and the peasant, rich and poor, old and young all dine together🫂 in a spirit of bonhomie without any restraint of caste and creed.

And last but not the least we totally forgot to talk about the pride game of our state, an important village sport, called the "Jallikattu or Manji Virattu" 🐮 , an integral part of the Mattu Pongal festival is observed with enthusiasm🥳 and expectations✨ in the villages of Tamil Nadu. This sport is held generally in the evening of the Mattu Pongal day.

So thank the bulls and animals, prosper integrity and equality among people, and enlighten this another day of Pongal series ✨.
"Happy Pongal everyone 💫"

"Christmas is most truly Christmas when we celebrate it by giving the light🕯️ of love to those who need it most ❤️." - Ruth Carter Stapleton

It's that time of the year when the whole world celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ ✝️ . A day which is spent in merry✨ making and wishing your loved ones, Christmas🎄 also happens to be the last festival of the year. Children and adults take part in celebrating it together, while showering each other with gifts 🧑‍🎄 , decorating their homes and Christmas trees 🌲 with ornaments and lights 🎄 . For kids, Christmas is all about Santa Claus 🎅, also known as Saint Nicholas, Saint Nick and Father Christmas. A legendary character, who supposedly brings gifts, toys and candies to kids on Christmas Eve.

Irrespective of caste, creed , religion and country people celebrate and make themselves and others 🫂 to cherish on this special occasion. Even a piece of cake 🍰 on this day will make someone's day better. As it is holiday season, people gets some time to spend with their close ones👨‍👩‍👧‍👦. And some tend to donate and support 🤝 orphanage children and make them smile 😃 on the day.

May this season find you among those you love ✨, sharing in the twin glories of generosity and gratitude. I hope you receive one blessing after another this coming year.
Merry Christmas ✨ , my friend ❤️ .

"IF THE GAZE OF FOOD MAKES YOUR HEART WARMER
DON’T FORGET TO REMINISCENCE AND THANK THE FARMER"

Agriculture is one of the important sectors in our country. The basic need of our lives, food is produced by farming🌽. Farming is not only cultivating crops but also growing livestock. This sector needs special attention because our day-to-day life is dependent on it. Farmers strive 💪 hard day and night to produce food and other resources. In India, more than 60% of people are farmers 📊 and farmers are the real strength of our nation. Every year 23rd of December is celebrated as “National Farmers Day”.

This day marks the birth anniversary of our former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh as he worked for the welfare of farmers. Chaudhary Charan Singh during his tenure introduced different programs and schemes that were beneficial for the Indian farmers. This day is celebrated to make people know about the importance and hard work done by farmers.

Farmers face a lot of struggles economically and mentally. Eventhough most of our ancestors were farmers, now people don’t want to become a farmer. There is a huge difference in the reverence given to a farmer in comparison with any other occupation. This practice of looking down at the farming occupation should change. Weather conditions ,selection of pesticides, choosing crops based on soil all these are the factors that influence farming. With the help of modern technologies if farmers are educated to improve their farming methods and if prewarning of climatic changes is given, it will in turn increase the quantity and quality of the yield produced. Helping farmers is indirectly helping the society 🌐.

Youngsters should come forward to improve agriculture sector 🌱. They should acknowledge and create awareness among farmers about the new sophisticated techniques that are already available in the market.
The Government on this day introduces schemes for benefitting the farmers.
It is celebrated by organising various programs, debates, seminars, quiz competitions, discussions, workshops, exhibitions, essays writing competitions and functions on the theme “farming”.

In the field called mind 🪷
Let us sow good thoughts ❤️
Plough its inner meaning 🚜
Remove pessimistic weeds
Irrigate hope and belief
Harvest good deeds 🎑
And store it to educate future generation! 🗣️

As the quote says let us unite🤝 to save farmers and pave way for advancements in farming.

"World AIDS Day"🎗️ is one of the eleven official global public health campaigns marked by the World Health Organization (WHO)🌎.The World Health Organization (WHO) founded World AIDS Day on December 1 in 1988 to promote information sharing between local and national authorities, international organisations, and private citizens. This year’s theme for World AIDS Day is “Rock the Ribbon.” The National AIDS Trust is committed to stopping new cases of HIV, securing the rights of people living with HIV, and fighting HIV stigma and discrimination.

HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) is a virus that attacks cells 🦠 that help the body fight infection 💪, making a person more vulnerable to other infections and diseases.

The human body can’t get rid of HIV and no effective HIV cure exists. So, once you have HIV, you have it for life🥺. Luckily, however, effective treatment with HIV medicine (called antiretroviral therapy or ART) is available. If taken as prescribed, HIV medicine can reduce the amount of HIV in the blood (also called the viral load) to a very low level. This is called viral suppression.

Nearly 40% of new HIV infections 🧬 are transmitted by people who don’t know they have the virus. For people with undiagnosed HIV, testing is the first step in maintaining a healthy life and preventing HIV transmission.
Routine HIV screening of adults, adolescents, and pregnant women in health care settings is recommended.
The government recommends that everyone between the ages of 13 and 64 get tested for HIV at least once as part of routine health care.

Let us create awareness about AIDS and make our society AIDS free .

"An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure" ✨

An antimicrobial 🦠 is an agent that kills microorganisms or stops their growth. Antimicrobial medicines 💊 can be grouped according to the microorganisms they act primarily against. For example, antibiotics are used against bacteria, and antifungals are used against fungi. They can also be classified according to their function. Agents that kill microbes are microbicides, while those that merely inhibit their growth are called bacteriostatic agents.

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) occurs when bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites change over time and no longer respond to medicines, making infections harder to treat and increasing the risk of disease spread, severe illness and death. As a result of drug 💊 resistance, antibiotics and other antimicrobial medicines become ineffective and infections become increasingly difficult or impossible to treat.

World Antimicrobial Awareness Week (WAAW) is a global campaign that is celebrated annually to improve awareness and understanding of AMR and encourage best practices among the public 📢, One Health stakeholders and policymakers, who all play a critical role in reducing the further emergence and spread of AMR.

The theme of WAAW 2022 is "Preventing Antimicrobial Resistance together".
AMR is a threat to humans, animals, plants and the environment. It affects us all. That is why this year's theme calls for cross-sectoral collaboration to preserve the effectiveness of these important medicines.

Stay healthy ! Stay happy! ❤️✨
