A decade - Ten years of dreams, doubts, growth, and grace.

As I look back on this journey, my heart is full — not just with pride, but with deep gratitude. This milestone doesn’t belong to me alone. It belongs to every teacher who shaped me, every colleague who stood beside me, every staff member who gave their unwavering dedication, and my family who held me steady through it all.

And most importantly, it belongs to every patient and well-wisher who trusted us, believed in us, and became a part of our story.

Jammi Scans is not just a workplace — it is a journey of purpose, compassion, and countless shared moments.

Thank you for walking this path with me, for growing with me, and for making these 10 years so meaningful.

Here’s to the memories we’ve created… and the many more we are yet to build together. 🤍✨

An inspiring weekend spent with Prof.Simon Meagher from Monash University and Prof.Aris from St George’s Hospital UK.

Wonderful deliberations, meaningful discussions, and a shared passion for advancing fetal therapy. Conversations like these remind us how collaboration across borders continues to shape the future of fetal medicine.

Grateful for the exchange of ideas, experiences, and vision toward better outcomes for our patients.

“Doctor… baby face clear-ah theriyala… problem-aa?”

Honestly, this is one of the most common worries we hear during scans.

But the truth is — your baby doesn’t have to “pose” for the scan every time. Just like us, babies keep changing positions… sometimes turning away, covering the face, or simply sleeping.

So if the face is not visible once, it does NOT mean something is wrong.

First thing — don’t panic.
Relax, take a short break, hydrate… and then we try again.

Most of the time, it’s just about timing… not a problem.

Some days stay with you forever… ❤️

I was invited to Chettinad Medical College for a workshop on Fetal Growth & Doppler — a session filled with learning, hands-on training, and meaningful conversations with bright young OBGYN postgraduates.

But the real moment… the one that touched my heart deeply…

Was watching my own fellowship doctors — who had just graduated days ago — standing there, teaching others.

Just yesterday, they were the ones holding the probe hesitantly, asking questions, learning every nuance…
And today, they were guiding, correcting, mentoring.

In that moment, everything felt still.

Because this is more than teaching medicine.
This is about passing on belief, confidence, and purpose.

It’s a quiet, overwhelming joy —
To see something you’ve nurtured… begin to grow beyond you.

This is how light spreads. ✨

And this is why we do what we do.

Grateful. Proud. Fulfilled.

If a baby is at risk of coming early, most people think it happens suddenly. But many times… the warning is already there. A simple pregnancy scan can show if the cervix is shortening or opening too early — a condition called cervical incompetence. This is one of the key reasons behind preterm delivery. The important part? If we detect it early, we can act. A cervical stitch or a pessary can help support the cervix and prevent it from opening further, giving the baby more time to grow safely inside. This is why checking cervical length during your scan is not just routine — it can change outcomes. If you’re in your second trimester, don’t skip this.

“Baby passed motion inside… so they did a C-section.”

This is one of the most common doubts I hear in the scan room.

Meconium in pregnancy does not always mean an emergency C-section. What really matters is the grade of meconium and the baby’s heart rate.

In many cases, if the heart rate is stable and the meconium is mild, normal delivery is still possible. But if the meconium is thick or the baby shows signs of distress, we act quickly to protect the baby.

Understanding this helps you stay calm and make informed decisions during labour.

Feeling more baby movements at night but not during the day? 🤔🌙

This is one of the most common pregnancy doubts — and it’s actually completely normal. Your daily activity gently rocks the baby to sleep. At night, when everything is quiet, the baby becomes more active — that’s why you feel more kicks. Understanding this can prevent unnecessary anxiety during pregnancy.

5 months… but no visible baby bump? This is one of the most common worries. At this stage, the uterus is usually only up to the navel. Add to that normal body shape and clothing — and it may not show at all. If your scan is normal, growth is good, fluid is adequate, and cervix is closed — you are completely fine. Most pregnancies become visibly obvious only after 6–7 months. Don’t let questions around you become doubts inside you.
