Chinmaya Tarangini Matsyanarayana

Chinmaya Tarangini Matsyanarayana Chinmaya Tarangini houses Matsya Narayana Temple set up by Chinmaya Misison Chennai. It is a meditation centre. Kutty’s Kovil, a space exclusively for children.

Kutty's Kovil - an exclusive space for Children, where they learn the significance and glory of our Gods, glory of our epics. Chinmaya Tarangini houses a meditation complex which has the distinguished presence of Lord Matsya Narayana. There are 108 stone pillars surrounding the majestic 12 feet deity, with the entire Vishnu Sahasranamam inscribed on the pillars, along with its meaning. They also contain 108 names of His Holiness Swami Chinmayananda. There is an outdoor camp site for around 50 persons built from sea cargo containers. One wakes up each morning to the roar of the mighty Bay of Bengal as she rushes forward to wash the feet of the Lord as it were. The temple is without any ceiling or walls; open to the sky and the sea! Built in stone and hues of grey and black, this temple creates an illusion of being dated back many centuries, transporting us back into time. The complex also has an altar to Lord Lakshmi Narayanana and his consort Devi Lakshmi. A place of peace and oneness with nature, it was inaugurated by Swami Tejomayananda on May 24, 2015. There are also altars to Hanuman, Ganesha and Lord Shiva (it is rare to find deities of Lord Vishnu and Shiva at the same place). Even the inaugural Abhishekam was done mainly by children from fishing village, neighbourhood gardeners & from Chinmaya Balavihar Chennai. In Kutty’s Kovil children will learn the significance, glory & chanting mantras to invoke Lord Ganesha, Vyasa, Krishna, Muruga, Brahma, Saraswati, Vishnu, Lakshmi , Shiva, Parvati, Rama, Sita Lakshmana, Bharat, Hanuman, Lava, Kusha, Valmiki & Glory of our epics Ramayana, Mahabharata...along with the power of Chanting AUM & being proud most ancient languages of the world Tamil & Sanskrit.
