What is Sound healing therapy ✨

It is a practice that uses vibrations in the form of Gongs, Tibetan singing bowls, and Tuning forks to relax the emotional and physical well-being.

It is believed that sound healing can help relieve anxiety, and sleeping difficulties (insomnia).

Sound healers function towards lowering blood pressure, improving circulation, and reducing high respiratory rates.

PURIFYING THE MIND WITH EVERY INHALATION AND EXHALATION
Our thoughts rise and fall with the movement of the breath. Inhalation energizes our thoughts relative to whatever our focus may be. Exhalation disperses our thoughts and creates the space to move on to additional thoughts.
This natural process can be developed by conscious pranayama to purify the mind and take our awareness to a deeper level. Follow the simple procedure below:
Draw in positive thoughts and inspirations on inhalation and release negative thoughts and disturbances on exhalation. In this way every breath purifies the mind.
Mentally repeat the mantra OM on inhalation to draw in the universal Prana, creative vibration and awareness of the immortal Self (Atman). Abide in that on retention.
On exhalation mentally repeat the solar mantra HREEM and let go of any negative thoughts or agitation hidden in the mind, allowing them to naturally disperse like darkness by light.
In this way you can both access a deeper Self-awareness and remove any blockages in the mind that are preventing you from dwelling in it.
To put it in Vedantic terms on inhalation your affirm that you are the Self of all beings and on exhalation you negate the world as unreal. On inhalation you energize pure Consciousness and on exhalation you negate the mind and the world as unreal.

🔴Full Yogic Breath (also called intercostal, abdominal and diaphragm breathing)

🟡Benefits:

- Expansion of lungs (alveoli) improving oxygenation and circulation of the blood

- Calms the “monkey mind”, helps to become centred, grounded

- Full motion of the diaphragm improves digestion and metabolic function

- Release of happiness hormones (endorphins) which make you feel calm and happy

- Reduces stress and anxiety

🟣 In Full Yogic Breathing 3 areas of the body are involved: abdomen, chest and clavicular part

🟡Abdominal or Diaphragmatic breathing

On inhalation, the diaphragm moves downwards compressing the abdominal organs so that the abdominal wall extends outward. With an exhalation the diaphragm moves upward again and the abdominal wall flattens.

The abdominal breath forms the basis of breathing as it allows the full use of lung capacity, slows down the breath in a natural way and promotes relaxation.

🟢Chest Breathing

With inhalation, the ribs are lifted so that the chest expands. With an exhalation, the ribs return to their original position. The air flows into the middle lobes of the lungs. The lungs are not filled as much as in abdominal breathing and the breath is more rapid and shallow.

This breathing occurs automatically in stressful situations and increases nervousness and anxiety even more. This can be addressed with switching to slow and deep abdominal breathing.

🟠Collarbone (Clavicular) Breathing

In this breathing therapy air flows into the top of the lungs. With inhalation, the upper part of the chest and collarbones are lifted and with an exhalation, they lower again. The breath is very shallow and rapid.

This breathing occurs in extreme stress and panic.

🟤In Full Yogic Breathing with inhalation the abdomen extends forward and the chest is expanded.

“When meditation is mastered, the mind is unwavering like the flame of a candle in a windless place” —Bhagavad Gita

🕉We consider meditation boring. Who can sit still with their eyes closed and without vile thoughts? But we truly need to take out a few minutes from our busy schedules and sit in dhyana to attain inner peace. Whether it's a quiet corner of our cosy home, or just a secluded spit in office, closing your eyes and sitting in peace will give you immense peace of mind.
