Barking fine clinics was started in year 2003 [sep14 ]with moto of providing comprehensive health care for companion animals. We are into this pet health service since 2003 and we have grown to an extent that our barking fine pet specialty hospital is now pioneer in catering all pet related health need of pet owners in north Chennai. Our specialty hospital is fully equipped with outpatient ward which can treat up to fifty numbers of cases in a day. The variety of pet ranges from a toy breeds shihtzu to well built fila brasileiro in dogs, cute little Indian kittens to furry Persian cats ,speaking parrots to crawling little mice in exotic pet category. Our hospital is governed with lot of ambition and dedication by our chief Dr. V. MANIKANDAN who is a gold medalist surgeon graduated from prestigious Madras Veterinary college in the year 2003 [UG] and masters in 2006 (Surgery) . Our hospital is having state of art operation theater fully equipped with gaseous anesthetic machine, oxygen support, vital signs monitor and it is capable of handling soft tissue, dental, orthopedic and specialized ophthalmic surgeries. Our hospital has excellent diagnostic facilities ranging from ultrasound, ECG, blood and serum analysis and diagnostic radiography. Pets are definitely not small sized human beings and they have their own anatomical and physiological variations. This helpless stray pet was badly injured by a hit on the eye by a stone thrown on him. A kind hearted person brought this pet for treatment. The eye was protuding out , the eye was lubricated and the eye was pushed back into position after sedating the dog. Then to avoid further injury to eye the eye lids were temporarily closed.

Jackie male dog 10 years old was brought to hospital today with breathing difficulty. Ultrasound examination of the chest revealed fluid accumulation around heart. More than one liter of milky white fluid was drained. Fluid sample sent for analysis. Now he is feeling ease breathing.

Maxillary sinus infection due to rotten tooth in a 13 year Spitz dog. Puppy is a female dog 13 years old with watery eyes on one side eye with swelling of face below the watering eyes. The affected side nostrils had pus discharge. X ray taken which showed signs of bone wearing due to pus accumulation. Tooth extracted to relive the pain and drain the pus in sinus.

Urinary bladder stone-cystic calculi in a male pug 6 years old was removed surgically. This pet was suffering from repeated urge to urinate and blood stains on urine. Refered by fellow vet from arakkonam. Ultrasound of bladder was taken to confirm the diagnosis. You can appreciate the size of the stone in the pic.

Doberman puppy having intestinal obstruction. This puppy not taking food for past 5 days. Brought to hospital with signs of vomition and on abdominal palpation a mass was felt and it was confirmed with ultrasound. Surgery was done to remove the object. It was a plastic broken clip with tangles of hair and small bones. The puppy is recovering well.

Intestinal segment trapped in Inguinal hernia in a 4 months old Indian mongrel puppy. This small puppy had a small swelling in inguinal area and was not taking food for past two days. Ultrasound revealed intestinal segment trapped in hernia and the f***l material can't pass through the segment. Emergency surgery was done. The involved segment was found to be rotten without life and had chicken neck bone on it. The rotten segment was removed to join back the intestine to have continuation. The puppy recovered well after correction of hernia. Waiting for full recovery.

Choking Hazard in puppies. This small rot puppy was tossing it's head and vomiting it's food from today morning. Mild Discomfort felt on palpation of his throat. X ray taken to find any metallic stuff in his throat ,but it was not there. He was sedated to find any soft stuff causing choking. An fabric stuffed with tangles of hair was removed. He is fine now.
