I am thankful to Dr. Sampadananda Mishra Ji, for giving me an opportunity to speak at SAFIC (Sri Aurobindo Foundation for Indian Culture), as part of the International Yoga Day 2020. In case you missed the Live talk - Here is the recording.

Attempting the legendary ghazal, 'Mohabbat Karne Wale' in collaboration with an outstanding artist, Saurabh Joshi. This ghazal has been penned by a prominent Urdu shayar - Hafeez Hoshiarpuri Sahib. It has been rendered by various renowned legendary artists and this is our humble tribute to them.

Saurabh Joshi is a multi-instrumentalist having strong roots in Hindustani Sangeet Gharana tradition. He is an accomplished multi-percussionist and sound engineer hailing from Dehradun. Like always, it is a pleasure to have collaborated with him and I thank him for joining hands with me in bringing this out.

Mental health is, has been and will always be an important part of our overall wellbeing. Today we speak about it in light of the events that surround us. Unfortunately, we cannot fathom the intricacies and complexities of a particular life in question and for me that is enough to take a step back and not comment on it. I choose to pray for the family, friends and fans to find the strength and resilience to bear this colossal loss. I pray for the departed soul to find peace.

I pray for us as a society, to keep our doors open with kindness, compassion and support always and not just for the few days as the wound is fresh. I pray that the posts doing the rounds on the importance of mental health translate into an observable shift in how we perceive mental health ourselves. I pray that each one of us explores the choice of seeking professional help not only in the face of a psychological adversity but in aspiration of realising our full potential. I pray that we listen intently and empathetically not only today and tomorrow but for life. I pray that as a collective, the sorrow, concern, remorse, annoyance and disappointment that we face today transforms into a constructive, empowering and enduring shift in perceptions about how we see mental health and psychological wellbeing.

Yes, I am a psychologist - - today as much as I was yesterday - - and I will continue to do the little that I can for a more resilient tomorrow. I hope you do, too!
