नमस्कार
सोलापूरच्या मोहोळ येथे झालेल्या एका भव्य कार्यक्रमात प्रमुख पाहुणे म्हणून आमंत्रित होणे हे माझे भाग्य होते. रेड स्वस्तिक सोसायटी, संदीपान दादा गायकवाड ट्रस्ट आणि जहांगीर हॉस्पिटल यांनी हा कार्यक्रम आयोजित कले होते.
संदीपान दादा गायकवाड हे स्वतंत्र सेनानी होते. त्यांचा मुलगा कौशिक गायकवाड यांनी त्यांचा सामाजिक सेवेचा वारसा यशस्वीपणे पुढे नेला आहे. कर्करोग सर्जन म्हणून मला दुर्गम भागात लोकांना मूलभूत उपचारांसाठी येणाऱ्या अडचणींची चांगली जाणीव आहे. परंतु देवाने पाठवलेल्या त्यांच्यासारख्या लोकांमुळे, गरजूंना वैद्यकीय सेवा सुलभ, उपलब्ध आणि परवडणाऱ्या झाल्या आहेत. या कार्यक्रमाचे मुख्य आकर्षण म्हणजे पंढरपूरचे श्री. प्रमोद बाबर यांना कृषी रत्न पुरस्कार प्रदान करणे. त्यांनी १-२ एकरपासून शेती सुरू केली आणि आज ते कमीत कमी गुंतवणुकीत १०० एकरपेक्षा जास्त जमिनीचे अभिमानी मालक आहेत आणि त्यांच्या सर्व भावांना त्यांच्यासोबत ठेवत आहेत. १६ तास काम आणि ५ तासांच्या प्रवासानंतरही मी या कार्यक्रमाला उपस्थित राहू शकलो याचा मला खूप आनंद आहे
