STORY TIME !
What Determination , Faith , Trust in each other and most importantly GOD can achive -
A couple came to me early last year with Bad Obstetric History ( Preterm delivery at 32 weeks followed by neonatal death ) during the first wave of COVID and expressed their desire to try again after gathering up the courage to go through the ordeal one more time . They were having difficulty concieving since 1 year and the age was also 37 yrs , so we decided to give fertility treatment a try and in the first month with God’s grace they did conceive !
Now comes the real struggle , at early anomaly scan the sonologist couldn’t see the nose ! So we did invasive testing for Chromosomal anomalies … which came out to be negative … in the next month , complaint of pain and again on scan the cervix was shortening .. at 2.2 cm , a real risk for abortion and preterm delivery .. did a Circlage and hoped for the best 🤞🏻Then at 24 weeks , diagnosed with gestational diabetes … managed with diet … no tablets … The mother was an absolute rock star … yes that’s the word … restricted mobility due to the stitch and still managed diabetes with only diet … that’s not a joke … we took it one week at a time and every visit there was looming threat of preterm delivery , NICU admission , all the PTSD of their last delivery BUT … here we are today … a Healthy full term baby Boy delivered early morning , crying at the top of his lungs and filled the entire hospital with tears of JOY !
Some days it all makes sense … the late nights , early mornings , vacations skipped, birthdays forgotten , when you make a difference in someone’s life … that’s today !
