YOU ARE A REAL GEM - Chronic Pancreatitis | GEM Hospital
Here we present a patient with continuous pain abdomen since childhood, who was evaluated & diagnosed to have chronic pancreatitis (repeated pancreas damage). As surgery gives long-standing pain relief, the patient underwent a totally laparoscopic pancreaticojejunostomy (LPJ), which means removal of stones in the pancreas & connecting it to the small bowel, which is a major surgery. The patient has recovered after surgery and is doing well. He is now enjoying pain-free life and is active socially.
