The Indian Society of Sports and Exercise Medicine (ISSEM https://www.issem.in/) is pleased to formally announce that it has been approved as an Associate Member of the International Confederation of Sport and Exercise Science Practice (ICSESP https://icsesp.global/). The confirmation was conveyed following a meeting of the ICSESP Board, during which ISSEM’s application was unanimously endorsed (20th November 2025)

ISSEM expresses its sincere appreciation to the ICSESP leadership for this recognition and for welcoming India’s national professional society into a distinguished global network dedicated to advancing excellence in sport and exercise science practice.

This membership marks an important milestone for India’s sports-exercise medicine & sciences community.
