🦴 Why Does a Disc Bulge Happen? | 3D Animation
A disc bulge develops slowly due to continuous stress on the spine.
Long hours of sitting, poor posture, repeated bending, and improper lifting increase pressure inside the spinal disc—causing it to bulge outward and irritate nearby nerves.
This can lead to: ❌ Lower back pain
❌ Leg pain (sciatica)
❌ Numbness & tingling
💡 Important to know:
Disc bulge does not always require surgery.
With early physiotherapy, posture correction, and core strengthening, pain can be controlled and progression can be prevented.
🎥 Watch this 3D animation to clearly understand the disc bulge mechanism.

🦴 Disc Bulge Mechanism | 3D Animation Explained
A disc bulge occurs when repeated stress, poor posture, prolonged sitting, or improper lifting weakens the spinal disc, causing it to bulge outward and press on nearby nerves. This can result in lower back pain, leg pain (sciatica), numbness, and tingling.
💡 Important to know:
Disc bulge treatment does not always require surgery. With early diagnosis, posture correction, core strengthening, and evidence-based physiotherapy, pain can be reduced and daily function restored.
🎥 Watch this 3D animation to clearly understand: ✔️ Disc bulge mechanism
✔️ Nerve compression and pain
✔️ Why early physiotherapy is important

🦴 MRI Lumbar Spine Report Explained (Simple Language)
Many patients feel scared when they read MRI terms.
Let’s clearly understand what each disc finding really means 👇
✅ 1. Normal Disc
🟢 What it means:
• Disc is healthy
• Normal height & shape
• No pressure on nerves
🧠 Inside the spine:
✔️ Soft center (nucleus) is well contained
✔️ Outer ring (annulus) is strong
✔️ Spine moves smoothly
📌 Symptoms:
• Usually no pain
• Normal movement
➡️ Good posture + exercise keeps discs healthy
⚠️ 2. Disc Protrusion (Bulge)
🟡 What it means:
• Disc is bulging outward
• Outer layer is still intact
• Early-stage disc problem
🧠 Inside the spine:
➡️ Disc bulges backward
➡️ Mild pressure on nearby structures
➡️ Nerve may or may not be irritated
📌 Common symptoms:
• Back pain
• Stiffness
• Pain after sitting or bending
• Sometimes leg pain
💡 Important:
✔️ Disc protrusion is reversible
✔️ Surgery is NOT needed in most cases
🚨 3. Herniated Disc (Slip Disc)
🔴 What it means:
• Inner disc material breaks through outer layer
• Direct pressure on nerve roots
🧠 Inside the spine:
➡️ Disc material leaks out
➡️ Nerve compression occurs
➡️ Inflammation increases
📌 Common symptoms:
• Severe back pain
• Leg pain (Sciatica)
• Numbness or tingling
• Weakness in leg or foot
💡 Good news:
✔️ Even herniated discs often heal
✔️ Physiotherapy is first-line treatment
✔️ Surgery only for selected cases
🏥 Physiotherapy Approach (Non-Surgical)
✔️ Pain & inflammation control
✔️ Disc unloading & decompression
✔️ Core strengthening
✔️ Posture & movement correction
✔️ Recurrence prevention
📍 Key message for patients:
👉 MRI findings should be correlated with symptoms, not fear
👉 Disc problems ≠ lifetime pain
👉 Correct treatment = recovery
