Many patients worry when they notice hair falling around the transplanted area after surgery. This is commonly called “Shock Loss,” but it’s more accurate to call it “Shock Fall.” The hair isn’t permanently lost — the follicles remain healthy, and the hair grows back naturally over time.
Shock fall occurs due to temporary surgical stress, anesthesia, and reduced blood flow, and is more noticeable in women since their hair isn’t shaved. With proper pre-operative care and precise surgical technique, the risk can be minimized. Even if it happens, it’s temporary and reversible. ✨
Bottom line: Shock fall is a phase, not a failure — patience brings regrowth.
