Successful Uncemented Total Hip Replacement done in a 74 year old lady suffering with TB of left hip. Patient was bedridden for 15 days and was unable to walk or bear weight on the affected limb.
Post operatively after 1 week she has full pain relief and is walking full weight bearing.
Joint replacement surgery is a wonderful treatment modality with fantastic outcome once done perfec tly.

proximal end humerus shattered to multiple pieces.
PHILOS plating via Deltopectoral approach was done with meticulous preservation of rotator cuff muscles by securing them to plate via ethibond no. 5.
Stable reconstruction was achieved per op.

Sharing a case of a 42 years old male patient, Suffering with Giant cell tumour/ Osteoclastoma of distal femur. Patient underwent tumour resection and Megaprosthesis reconstruction. Patient is walking full weight bearing from next day of surgery.

Fracture of mid shaft humerus or arm bone is very notorious for wrist drop or paralysis of Radial nerve ( this nerve is responsible for wrist extension and opening of closed fist/ finger extension).
This middle aged lady presented with fractured arm bone and was operated within 24 hours of injury whereby plating was done.
The patient is doing fine and is now moving her elbow and shouder just 3 days after such a fracture.

Indeed Bone is a dynamic tissue.
Presenting this failed Humerus shaft fracture managed elsewhere by locking plate in a 30 year old male patient. Came to me after 5 months of first surgery. Counselled the patient and applied Limb Reconstruction System LRS or Monorail fixator. This device is more patient friendly and less cumbersome than Illizarov ring fixator. I freshened the fracture ends, grafted fracture with bone from fracture site itself after LRS application. Fracture went on to unite in 1 year duration.
