Today as I was seeing a patient with brain hemorrhage due to hypertension, I felt really sad. It’s the frequent finding in such patients that they stopped taking their regular medications on their own feeling that blood pressure was now normal… irregular follow up visits to physicians and we as Doctors also failing to counsel such patients for the need of frequent check ups , optimising dose regimen of the comorbid conditions like Diabetes and Hypertension and all this leading to a Stroke and paralysis with patients coming in critical condition to us Neurosurgeons and Neuro physicians is really sad…..

We cannot underestimate the need for regular check ups and optimisation of Diabetes and blood pressure and Cholesterol levels control in preventing these medical disasters…

When we go out seeking advice from a Doctor for advice about betterment of our health the most important point in our mind is the authenticity and honesty behind that advice. And it is my life's mission that I will give advice that is relevant and for betterment of the health of my patients. This forms the bedrock of the doctor patient relationship and this is the greatest satisfaction that a Doctor can get out of his or her career.

Well I am amazed and amused and also sad about the self mutilating nature of Human Race. The so called most intelligent race on Planet Earth 🌍. It’s amazing how everything in human life and human life itself has been monetized in modern times. Everything is calculated in terms of money or buying power. Human relationships have taken a nose dive apart from a few happy exceptions. And this rat race for wealth is leading us nowhere. It’s leading us to Wars , destruction, unhappiness and sadness in our lives . I wonder when will the money factor cease to be the sole parameter of false human happiness
