Pediatric Paracetamol Elixer

Paediatric Paracetamol Elixer contains paracetamol to relieve pain and reduce high temperature. Paracetamol Elixer can be used in babies and children for the treatment of mild or moderate pain and feverishness, and also in babies who develop a fever after vaccination.

Ingredient
Paracetamol: 1.26 gm
Ethanol: 5ml
Propylene Glycol: 5ml
Chloroform Spirit: 1ml
Syrup: 15ml
Amaranth Solution: 0.1ml
Glycerol: 50ml

Glassware
Measuring Cylinder, Spatula, Glass rod, beaker, Measuring flask

Procedure
Step 1: Dissolve paracetamol in a mixture of ethanol, propylene glycol and chloroform spirit.

Step 2: Add rest of the ingredient with constant stirring.

Step 3: Make up the final volume with glycerol with stirring.

Result: 50ml Pediatric Paracetamol Elixer BP was prepared.
