Braving the chilly winter, thousands of young men and women participated in an HIV/AIDS awareness marathon today at Police Line, Dehradun. The event was actively promoted by the Uttarakhand State AIDS Control Society (USACS), Dehradun, in organised with I-Next and the Dainik Jagran newspaper group, to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS among the youth.
Dehradun Mayor Saurabh Thapliyal flagged off the marathon, as enthusiastic participants cheered, eager to take on the challenge. The event also highlighted key initiatives led by USACS in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Special messages on placards and flex banners lined the marathon route, reinforcing the awareness campaign. Senior USACS officials and municipal representatives were present to witness the momentous occasion, underscoring their commitment to spreading awareness and combating HIV/AIDS in the region.
