India’s mission to the Moon
Landing date : 23.8.23

➡️ Four years after Chandrayaan-2 crash-landed on the lunar surface, India has made history by landing a probe in the Moon’s polar region. Vikram, the Chandrayaan-3 lander, had a successful touchdown just after 6pm on Wednesday.

➡️ We are fourth country to land on moon surface after US, Russia & China.

➡️ It is directed for the lunar South Pole for the very first time, where water ice, or frozen water, may exist.

➡️ The lander ( Vikram ) & the Rover ( Pragyaan) will have a mission life of one lunar day (about 14 earth days) to study the surroundings there.

➡️ ISRO chief S.Somnath & other ISRO scientists.

CLINICAL FEATURES :
Bloody diarrhea, abdominal pain, mucus discharge, f***l urgency, tenesmus; in severe cases, symptoms may include weight loss, fever or colonic perforation

DIAGNOSIS :
Correlation of clinical symptoms with endoscopic and histological examination is mandatory

Gross description of Ulcerative colitis :

☑️ Findings generally progress in a continuous pattern from distal to proximal along the specimen
☑️ Absence of skip lesions
☑️ Mucosal erythema and granularity with superficial ulceration
☑️ Usually no deep, fissuring ulceration
☑️ Absence of strictures, fistulas and creeping fat
☑️ Pseudopolyp formation due to ulceration with intervening areas of preserved mucosa
