Its so interesting to know that plant based diets are rich in fiber, antioxidants and vitamins whereas animal based diets low in fiber, antioxidants are rich in calcium, vitamin D, B12, iron and omega 3 which are low in plant foods.
So to enjoy a healthy balanced diet use a combination of plant based with diary-and- animal based diet to get the maximal benefits.

A good night sleepis just as important as regular exercise and a healthy diet. Poor sleep has negative effects on our hormones, cause weight gain, increase insulin resistance etc.
Melatonin is a hormone that regulates our sleep wake cycle. Eating a healthy diet , eating melatonin rich foods can help us to get better sleep.
1. Foods rich in Melatonin are - Nuts like almonds, cashew and pistachios, tart cherries ( the sour ones), fatty fish like salmon/ tuna, goji berries, mushrooms.
2. Also increase intake of amino acid tryptophan is important for melatonin production. Milk , banana, oats , mushrooms are excellent sources of.
3. Foods to avoid before bed- spicy foods, chocolate, refined carbs like maida, pizza, breads; caffeine and alcohol.
4. Maintain Sleep Hygiene- have a healthy sleep environment with best pillows, decorsand mattress and minimise use of electronic devices in bed, have dim lights and minimal noise for healthy sleep.
5. Exercise regularly to improve sleep, but not before sleep.
Make sleep a top priority this year for optimal health and well- being.
