Our eyes are an important part of our health and it's necessary to take care of them for a smooth day-to-day living. 👀
Most eye problems occur gradually over time due to ignorance of the symptoms in the initial phase. Common causes may include staring at the screen for a long time, insufficient light, lack of sufficient care, poor
nutrition among others.
A few basic lifestyle changes can easily save you from such problems and even help you cure some of them. Doing these things can help you keep your eyes healthy and ensure that you are seeing your best. 💛
• Eating a well, balanced diet including plenty of citrus fruits and green leafy vegetables, nuts, seeds, carrots, eggs etc. help your eyes. Staying well hydrated is an important step too.
• Maintaining a healthy weight and regular exercise will help you control problems such as diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol which in turn reduce the risk of vision problems.
• Giving your eyes proper time to relax by working on your sleep schedule and including a few simple exercises as shown above is the primary way to go.
• Getting regular eye check ups will help you diagnose your symptoms initially, if there are any and thus, will help you fix the issue.
• Wearing sunglasses when going out in too much sunlight for long hours helps you protect your eyes from too much UV rays exposure. Quit smoking as people who smoke are likely to suffer from cataract, optic nerve damage as they grow old.
*PERSONAL ADVICE : Applying a few drops of oil, mostly coconut oil or almond oil and massaging it well around your eyes (under eye area and upper eyes, being aware that it doesn't enter your eyes) before sleeping at night really helps you relax your eye muscles. 😴
