🌍 International Volunteers Day 2025 | Every Contribution Matters

At Health Volunteers, we were proud to co-organize a powerful International Volunteers Day celebration with Yuvanika Foundation in partnership with UNV India, bringing together 1,200+ young volunteers at St Agnes College (Autonomous) Mangaluru | Post-Graduate Centre

The event was inaugurated by Shri U.T. Khader Fareed, Hon’ble Speaker, Karnataka Legislative Assembly, who reminded everyone that volunteerism is a driving force for a progressive and compassionate nation.

We were also honored by a special virtual message from Christian Hainzl, UNV Regional Manager (Asia–Pacific), as the world moves toward IYV 2026.

Inspirational leaders — Shri Ivan D’Souza, MLC, Smt. Meenakshi Arya, IAS, Sr Dr M. Venissa, Shri M. Jaikishen Bhat and Shri Raghuveer Souterpete — amplified the call for youth-led service and responsibility.

Our Director, Rishi B., addressed the gathering online on the many ways young people can take actions through Volunteering — both online and offline — and become part of a growing network of changemakers.
We also celebrated exceptional youth volunteer achievers whose dedication is shaping stronger communities.

The UN theme “Every Contribution Matters” resonated deeply throughout the event, reaffirming our mission:

When people come together to serve, real change becomes possible.
Let’s continue building a nation of active, compassionate volunteers.

Today, on International Volunteer Day 2025, we recognize the extraordinary contributions of volunteers across the world. Their commitment, skill, and solidarity form the backbone of humanitarian action and community resilience.

This year’s global theme — “Every Contribution Matters” — highlights the power of collective action. Even the smallest effort creates meaningful impact.

IVD 2025 also marks the official launch of the International Year of Volunteers for Sustainable Development (IVY 2026), following UN General Assembly Resolution A/RES/78/127. This milestone calls upon governments, civil society, and individuals to elevate volunteerism as a key driver of the Sustainable Development Goals.

Let’s celebrate volunteers everywhere — and commit to building a world where their contributions are recognized, supported, and sustained.

On this World Mental Health Day, our wish is that everyone feels empowered to acquire mental health skills and navigate life with the proper tools.

That's why Health Volunteers and the Reaching Sky Foundation took action! We successfully delivered a crucial series of mental health sessions for the youth of LP4Y across Delhi, Bengaluru, Chattisgarh, Chennai, and Mumbai.

Skill development in mental well-being is the new literacy of our time. Let's continue to invest in the tools young people need to fight stigma and promote collective wellness.
