Makhana (Fox nuts) peanut Bhel
Fox nuts are low in cholesterol, saturated fat and sodium. Therefore, they are good for the heart too. Lotus seeds are also extremely good sources of magnesium, potassium, manganese, protein, and phosphorus. Their extremely high nutrient content makes them an extremely healthy snacking option.
Additionally, they aid the body in various ways. Being low in calories, makhanas promote weight loss, while their calcium content makes them extremely good for the bones. These seeds also contribute greatly to the controlling of blood pressure, detoxification of the body, and improved digestive health. Their anti-ageing properties also help slow down the ageing process of the body.
So here I am with healthy fox nut recipe
Ingredients
1 cup dry roast makhanas
4 tbsp dry roast peanuts
1 tbsp Chaat masala
1 tbsp dates and tamrind cutney
1 tbsp green chutney
1 grated carrot
1 chopped onion
1 chopped tomato
1/2 chopped cucumber
1/2 lemon juice
1 chopped green chilli
4 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
Salt according to taste
Steps
1. Dry roast makhanas in a non stick pan till light golden brown and crisp.
2. Similarly dry roast peanut in a non-stick pan till golden brown and crisp.
3. Take a bowl add makhanas, peanuts, carrot, onion, tomato, dates and tamrind chutney, green chutney, Chaat masala, salt, cucumber, green chilli, lemon juice, coriander leaves,and mix well.Bhel is ready.
4. Serve immediately, Enjoy Healthy BHEL.
