NUTRITION WEEK SERIES-2Hi protein products are everywhere!Do we really need that much amount of protein?What happens in our body when we have extra protein?Let’s understand this:-Our body digests protein in the form of amino acids , uses as much it needs for tissue repair, hormones, enzymes etc.But the extra protein is not stored as muscles. It gets converted to urea (excreted) & the rest May be used as energy or even stored as fats. So more protein does not mean more muscle. It only helps if your body needs it.
