Parents are the gateway for life as well as the connection to our ancestors.

Accepting the parents exactly as they are is the biggest form of healing.

If parents have been abusive, then this does not mean accepting what they did to us. This simply means accepting that they gave us life, which is the biggest gift and living that life fully by healing our wounded parts and being better parents to our children and future generations.

The gift of life is the biggest gift we get from our parents. Even if we think they haven't given us anything else(which is usually untrue), we cannot deny the fact that life has come to us through them.

And by honoring this gift and making something good out of it, we honor life itself, we honor the Divine where life originates, we honor our parents as well as ancestors, each of whom lives through us.

Bowing down is a beautiful ritual, for not just honouring and paying our respect, but also a reminder that we are smaller than our ancestors. By being the small one, their child, we can freely take from them whatever is good for us and leave with them, their fate, struggles, stories, and suffering - trusting that being the bigger ones, they will take care of their own fate.

And we can live our own life, fully and freely.

And when we can stand up as the adult of today, knowing that we have the love, blessings and support of our ancestors, we are able to take responsibility for all that is ours(fate, decisions, choices) and we live our life from a place of integrity and meaning.

Last week, in the 3rd guest lecture in the Family Constellation Facilitator Training Program 2025, Stéphane taught us about political and social constellations.

Social and political systems are bigger than a family system and therefore, constellations done for social or political issues are much larger in nature, energy and perspective.

We learnt the difference between family and socio-political constellations through an interesting exercise and an intriguing discussion.

The important thought Stéphane left us with is that curiosity alone is not enough for placing a constellation. And this applies to all kinds of constellations, IMO.

The current training batch is coming to a close soon and I'm looking forward to hosting the next batch!
