Balanced diet food plate
One half of the plate should comprise fruits and vegetables, leafy vegetables, roots and tubers and other vegetables. A quarter plate should be cereals and the remaining quarter plate should consist of protein rich foods such as pulses, legumes, eggs, flesh foods and nuts; followed by moderate amounts of varieties of vegetable oils/ fats. A glass of milk or milk products such as curd, paneer etc. should accompany the plate.   

एक आधा प्लेट में फल होने चाहिए और सब्जियां (पत्तेदार सब्जियां,जड़ें और कंद और अन्य सब्जियां)। एक चौथाई प्लेट अनाज होना चाहिए और शेष चौथाई प्लेट प्रोटीन युक्त खाद्य पदार्थों (जैसे दालें, फलियां, अंडे,मांस खाद्य पदार्थ )और मध्यम मात्रा वनस्पति तेल/वसा/नटस। एक गिलास दूध या दूध उत्पाद जैसे दही,पनीर आदि साथ होना चाहिए।
