Certainly the most destructive vice that a person can have, more than pride, which is supposedly the number one of the cardinal sins.....is self-pity.

Self-pity will destroy relationships.
It will destroy anything that's good.
It will fulfill all the prophecies it makes and leave only itself.

It is so simple to imagine that one is hard done by and that things are unfair.
That one is under-appreciated.
And that if only one had a chance at this or if only one had a chance at that.....things would have gone better.

I almost wanted once to publish a self-help book saying...

HOW TO BE HAPPY by Stephen Fry
GUATANTEED SUCCESS!

And people would buy this huge book.....and the first page would just say...

"Stop feeling sorry for yourself and you will be happy.
PS- Use the rest of this book to write down your interesting thoughts and drawings."

And that's what the book would be.

It sounds like, "oh, that's so simple."
But, of course, it's not simple to stop feeling sorry for yourself.

It's bloody hard.

The following Video depicts an Older Indian Adult giving his opinion that "MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES ARE UNNECESSARILY INCREASING THESE DAYS",
"MENTAL ILLNESSES ARE NOT DEADLY",
and that "PSYCHIATRISTS ARE USELESS".

We believe Human Intelligence like this, is one of the many many reasons why INDIA is a DEVELOPING COUNTRY.

INDIA IS NOT A DEVELOPED COUNTRY.

The UNEDUCATED, UNACQUAINTED, and GUT WRENCHING Propaganda like this, is why 🇮🇳INDIA will probably always be a DEVELOPING COUNTRY.

As long as EDUCATION quotient in 🇮🇳India beats the POPULATION quotient, our Country will always be Centuries away from real FREEDOM and INDEPENDENCE.

August 15th 1947 was just one of the many baby steps 👣 towards INDEPENDENCE.

We are sadly NOT INDEPENDENT.

We are significantly UNEDUCATED.

We DO NOT HAVE FREEDOM. 🗽

..says an OLDER ADULT in Telugu Language.

Dear OLDER ADULT,

You are contradicting yourself. We hope you EDUCATE YOURSELF, so the generations of HUMAN BEINGS you leave behind turn out to be more AWARE than you've ever been.

And if your statements towards Mental Health Concerns in the video were to be true,

HEALTH SCIENCE wouldn't exist...

HOSPITALS 🏥 wouldn't be established...

DISEASES 😷 and DISORDERS wouldn't be TREATED and CURED...

AVERAGE LIFESPAN of a HUMAN BEINGS in INDIA, wouldn't increase to 69.96 years by 2021, from 35.21 years back in 1950.

Basically, you probably wouldn't be alive to do this CARELESS LECTURE.
