A few days ago, I completed my MD. These pictures from my final days as a scholar hold countless emotions, joy, gratitude, and the warmth of memories that will stay with me forever ❤️

This journey has been transformative. It deepened my knowledge of Ayurveda, strengthened my clinical reasoning, and most importantly helped me grow as a person. It was made beautiful by the people who stood beside me: teachers, mentors, colleagues, friends, and family. Your support, guidance, and encouragement made this path not only successful but also deeply fulfilling. 🙏

As I step forward, I carry this wisdom with a promise: to serve, to heal, and to share Ayurveda’s timeless light with those who need it most.

Thanks everyone who stood besides me for being part of my story. Here’s to new beginnings, deeper service, and the journey ahead.

In Ayurveda Samhitas many of the skin problems that are mentioned and can be correlated to acnes due to hormonal imbalance, one of the best cure for them is said to be iron.

In Ayurveda Samhitas Excessive Vyayam (Exercising) is said to cause SHAYA and KLAMA.

This means over exercising can lead to Loss of body energy/immunity and exhaustion/weariness.

These 2 can be a big road block in your journey of healthy body.

Try exercising only till the time you feel refreshed.

As soon as you start to feel tired stop right there and if possible try stopping even before that.

So that your body has the energy to perform essential body functions like digestion, elimination of wastes, etc. which are equally important in order to main a healthy weight.

According to Ayurveda, Agni, Nidra (sleep) and Mental state play a very important in maintaining our health.

If we starting taking steps to maintain these three then our hormones too will start to get balanced.

A regular cycle is all about balanced hormones.

Take smalls steps daily to maintain a good sleep cycle, like not getting involved in brain engaging activities when you are trying to sleep.

For balancing Agni try optimizing the food intake.

For reducing stress, try to add some relaxing activities in your daily routine.

And most importantly just breath, give your body some time to do self healing ❤️

One of the major causes of Obesity according to Ayurveda is overeating.

This is the result of stress.

If stress persists for a long time, the adrenal glands release hormone called cortisol, and cortisol increases appetite and may also ramp up motivation in general, including the motivation to eat.

Many a time during our weight management journey we start taking stress about the results, resulting in making our weight constant or sometimes even more.

The simplest way to break this cycle is to stop taking stress !!

But I totally understand that this is the most difficult thing to do.

So try these few things to manage your stress -

1. Do not check your weight on weekly bases.
2. Do not exercise every day.
3. Take small water breaks during your office hours.
4. Pamper yourself with those power naps in the mid day.
5. Try talking to your friends and family about how you feel.

I hope this surely will help your body get in shape faster.

Exercise is not about running 10 Kms and then feeling exhausted for the rest of the week! ❌

Ayurveda defines Vyayam (Exercise) as the physical activity that is cherished by one and provides stability and strength to the body. ✅

So when we talk about obesity, the workout should be such that you love doing it and in the end feel energized.

You should stop before you feel drained, as in obesity the overall strength of the body goes down, and overburdening it can be harmful.

The workout should be such that you love doing it rather than being a force on you.

A proper and balanced workout will not only help you fight obesity but also help tone muscles, stabilize metabolism, and help you fight other diseases.

So next time your health app pings to notify you that you haven't done enough exercise, just clear it and do what suits your body. 💆🏻‍♀️
