ACL Reconstruction

In ACL reconstruction surgery, a new ACL is made from a graft of replacement tissue from one of two sources:

1. A portion of the patient's own hamstring or peroneus tendon
2. Quadriceps or Patellar tendon or hamstring from opposite leg is taken in Revision ACL or Multi-ligament injury

The type of graft used for each patient is determined on a case-by-case basis.
