Pain management, Hospice Care, and Palliative Medicine are becoming increasingly essential in comprehensive oncology treatment. Raising awareness about this medical branch in our country is an ongoing process. I extend my heartfelt thanks to Dr. B.B. Gupta Ji and Dr. Diwakar Gupta Ji for affording me the opportunity to present our work on integrating oncology with pain management and Palliative care. This includes the timely transition from disease-directed treatment to Hospice Care, aimed at achieving better symptom control (physical, psychological, social, and spiritual). The presentation took place at the Multispeciality Physician Update in South Delhi and was attended by approximately 80 esteemed doctors from various specialties.
We at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Centre, Niti Bagh, South Delhi are providing this holistic approach with an aim to control total Cancer pain.
