✨ Fine Motor Skills in Autism Awareness ✨
Fine motor skills refer to the small muscle movements of the hands, fingers, and wrists that help a child perform daily activities like grasping objects, writing, buttoning clothes, and self-feeding.
In children with autism, fine motor development may be delayed or show difficulty in coordination, grip strength, and hand-eye coordination. This can impact independence in daily routines and academic tasks.
Early identification and intervention play a very important role in improving these skills. With consistent practice and the right guidance, children can develop better control, coordination, and confidence.
At Shabd Rehabilitation Center, under the expert supervision of Dr. Pardeep Kumar, therapy is designed in a structured and child-friendly manner. We use activity-based learning such as peg play, bead threading, sensory integration, and hand strengthening exercises to enhance fine motor development.
Our approach focuses on:
✔ Individualized therapy plans based on the child’s needs
✔ Play-based and functional skill training
✔ Sensory-motor integration techniques
✔ Parent guidance for home-based practice
Our goal is to help every child achieve maximum independence and improve their quality of life through consistent, evidence-based therapy.

🎧 Auditory Perception Skills in Autism Awareness
At Sshabd Rehabilitation Center, under the expert guidance of Dr. Pardeep Kumar, we believe that every child has the potential to communicate, connect, and grow—when given the right support and environment.
Auditory perception is a crucial skill that helps children understand and interpret sounds around them. For children with autism, developing these skills can significantly improve communication, attention, and learning abilities.
✨ Key Areas of Auditory Perception Development:
🔹 Sound Recognition
Children learn to identify everyday sounds like a phone ringing, doorbell, or musical tones. This builds awareness of their environment.
🔹 Speech Processing
Understanding spoken language is essential for communication. Therapy helps children interpret words, tone, and meaning effectively.
🔹 Auditory Attention
Focusing on sounds despite distractions improves listening skills and classroom participation.
🔹 Sound Discrimination
Recognizing differences between similar sounds (like “ba” and “pa”) supports speech clarity and language development.
🔹 Auditory Memory
The ability to remember and recall sounds or instructions helps children follow directions and enhance learning outcomes.
💡 Why It Matters:
Improving auditory perception skills can lead to better speech, stronger social interaction, and increased independence in children with autism.
At Sshabd Rehabilitation Center, we use structured, play-based, and individualized therapy techniques to nurture these essential skills in a supportive and engaging environment.
🌈 Every sound understood is a step closer to meaningful communication.
📍 Join us in spreading awareness and supporting every child’s journey toward growth and independence.

Vestibular Attention in Autism Awareness
By Sshabd Rehabilitation Center | Dr. Pardeep Kumar
Vestibular attention plays a crucial role in a child’s overall development, especially for children with autism. The vestibular system, located in the inner ear, helps control balance, body awareness, movement, and spatial orientation. It is directly linked with attention, focus, and emotional regulation.
In children with autism, vestibular processing may be either over-sensitive or under-sensitive. This can lead to challenges such as difficulty maintaining balance, poor coordination, constant movement seeking, or fear of movement activities like swinging or spinning.
At Sshabd Rehabilitation Center, we understand that vestibular attention is not just about movement—it is about helping children stay focused, calm, and engaged in their environment.
Why Vestibular Attention is Important: • Improves balance and coordination
• Enhances focus and concentration
• Supports body awareness and posture
• Helps in emotional regulation
• Builds confidence in movement and daily activities
Common Signs of Vestibular Challenges: • Frequent dizziness or fear of movement
• Difficulty sitting still or focusing
• Poor balance and frequent falls
• Avoidance or excessive seeking of movement
• Trouble with tasks requiring coordination
Therapy Approach at Sshabd Rehabilitation Center: Our expert team, led by Dr. Pardeep Kumar, uses structured sensory integration techniques to improve vestibular attention.
Let’s work together to create a supportive environment where every child can thrive. 💙
