Chaturanga dandasana :- one of the finest practice in ashtanga series. ,🧎

Chaturanga strengthens and tones the wrists, arms, abdominal muscles, and lower back.
It prepares the body for more challenging arm balances.

Similar to a traditional push-up, it also strengthens the muscles surrounding the spine, which helps to improve posture.

It takes patience and discipline to learn how to practice the pose correctly and avoid injury. When this is accomplished, the pose is a powerful full-body toner.

Contraindications

Students with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and other wrist, elbow and shoulder issues should avoid jumping into and out of this pose. Women who are menstruating and who are pregnant should avoid this pose. Students can modify this pose by bending their knees into the floor.

Benefits

Stretches and strengthens hamstrings

Stretches and strengthens the thighs

Stretches the spine and back

Enhances upper body strength

Refreshes and rejuvenates the mind

Tones the thighs and abdomen

Limitations :-

Avoid this pose if you suffer from severe back problems. Refrain from completely bending the belly..

People with heart conditions and suffering from hypertension should avoid practicing this pose.

It is better than a less challenging posture like the Uttanasana (Standing Forward Bend) be mastered before attempting the Hand to Foot Pose.

The Hand to Foot Pose should also be avoided if you suffer from a spinal disorder like a slipped disc. Needless to say, performing this pose in this state will only make the condition worse.

It is also important that you practice the Hand to Foot Pose under the guidance of an experienced yoga instructor to make sure that every position is aligned properly.
