3 Mistakes keeping you from filling your yoga classes online:
1. Forgetting your own practice
When you transition to teaching yoga, it can be easy to get stuck in all the technical marketing, strategy, and endless social media buzz. This can often distract us from why we want to share yoga with others. But it’s this passion that’s going to help you draw in the right clients!
2. Not creating your own community
Social media is a great resource for building a community, but it shouldn’t be the only way you connect. I constantly see new (and established) yoga teachers only using social media (particularly Instagram) to connect with their audience.
The problem with this is that algorithms constantly change and to reach your followers you often have to pay-to-play. Instead, start collecting email addresses and providing people value through regular newsletters.
3. Spreading yourself too thin
Having a focused content creation strategy helps you stay on track and spend time doing more of what is working and what you love doing. You’re better off working to your strengths and spending more time on the one platform or marketing medium that works for you.
