Mental health is as important as physical health, we hear this often and also understand the importance of mental well being.

However, often we tend to not make our mental health a priority.

Maintaining a routine, healthy boundaries and creating time for self does take a back seat in our busy schedule.

So kindly take this as reminder to prioritise your well being by paying equal attention to mental health as you do to your physical health.

One can have apprehensions towards seeking help.
Questions like “Do I need therapy?”,
“is therapy the right course of action”,
“will taking therapy even help me?”

The above usually puts one in a dilemma to work on self or not, most importantly to seek help or not.

Therapy is facing many truths, and a journey of self discovery. So to have a safe space to be brave, facilitated by an mental health expert is recommended.

The fact that you feel there is need to talk to someone should be enough to take the first to reach out.

Therapy is a journey of empowerment and self discovery through healing.

When one is in distress, seeking help may feel like a daunting task, however when you get the support needed, you only enable yourself to create a conducive environment catering to your well being.

Oh “I am so stupid”,
“No matter what I do I am never getting good at anything”
“I am a loser”
These are the statements you may use whenever you make mistakes, for not knowing better outcomes or solutions.

And this does not end at the statements but punishing yourself continues beyond remarks, “I don’t deserve good happy times so more effort towards my goals”
“No more relaxation after a long tiring day” “no comfort because I did not earn it”.
All of the above becomes the reality.

If you find the above relatable then try and do the following:
“let me review why things did not fall in place, what is the missing link”,

“I can always ask for help as my friend is an expert and can guide me better”,

“I gave my 100% today, though things did not turn out as desired but I will recharge tonight to do better tomorrow”

You cannot know everything, be right always or be there for everyone at all times.

Allow yourself to be Human, to learn from your mistakes, ask for help when needed and most importantly to accept that you don’t have to be perfect.

Forgive yourself for making mistakes.
