A GAP (Gonioscopy and Perimetry) workshop was organized at Guru Nanak Eye Centre (GNEC) on 16 March, 2025 as part of Glaucoma Awareness Week 2025. The workshop aimed to enhance awareness and understanding of glaucoma diagnostics and management among eye care professionals. A total of 45 participants, including ophthalmology residents from Delhi and neighboring medical institutions, optometrists, and private practitioners, attended the session.
During the workshop, attendees received hands-on training in the essential diagnostic techniques of gonioscopy and perimetry, which are crucial for the early detection and management of glaucoma. The glaucoma team of GNEC faculty and residents guided participants through the principles and practical applications of these techniques, ensuring they gained valuable insights into assessing the anterior chamber angle and visual field defects. The event served as an important platform for skill development, knowledge exchange, and reinforcing the significance of comprehensive glaucoma screening in clinical practice.
At the conclusion of the workshop, participants were awarded certificates in recognition of their successful completion of the training, further motivating them to apply their newly acquired skills in clinical settings.
