We’ve normalised exhaustion to the point where we don’t even recognise it anymore.
Deadlines blur into days, rest feels earned instead of essential, and somewhere along the way—we stop noticing ourselves.

The recent piece on India’s growing burnout crisis echoes what we witnessed firsthand during our “Mindfulness for All” panel at IIC Delhi.
Students, professionals, educators, all speaking a shared language of pressure, even if their lives looked completely different on the surface.

What became clear is this:
Burnout isn’t always loud. It doesn’t always look like breaking down.
Sometimes, it looks like functioning perfectly… while feeling nothing at all.
Mindfulness, then, is not just a practice.

It’s a return.

To awareness. To presence. To the parts of ourselves we’ve slowly abandoned in the rush to keep up.

Through conversations like these, we hope to create spaces where pause is not seen as weakness—but as wisdom.
Where being present is not indulgent—but essential.
Because the solution isn’t to do more.
It’s to notice more.
