Distal Tibia Fractures are notorious for healing and soft tissue damage as they are high trauma injuries with less blood supply. Minimally invasive procedures protecting the soft tissue and fracture biology is the key. Avoid giving too many incisions because they might cause healing issues.

Posting another case from my Distal Radius series. Here a young girl fell on her wrist and sustained a physeal disruption injury (almost looking like dislocation) with gross swelling. It is managed well with close reduction and k wire fixation.

A young male sustained a twisting injury over his lower leg causing long spiral comminuted fracture of distal tibia and fibula. In such type of factures maintaining rotation is the key and is best managed with MIPO with Distal tibia locking plate and longer plate is used to span the fracture without opening the fracture site.

A compound grade 3 fracture distal both bone leg came to us with wound over medial side. Planned for anterolateral plating with minimally invasive technique and medial side not touched.
But skin got necrosed which was later grafted and patient is dping fine now.
