Had an amazing experience co-ordinating an insightful talk by Dr. P C Mohapatra on practical aspects of private practice as an obstetrician!
The session was informative, engaging, filled with valuable takeaways and well appreciated by the audience.

May 28th is " Menstrual Hygiene day" and we take this as an opportunity to share knowledge and awareness about health issues common in women....

Got an opportunity to interact, understand the issues of and share my advise on PCOS and Breast cancer , with the lovely and enthusiastic bunch of young minds at Galgotias University, Noida, on this occasion.

Two things which stood out was
1. Even the boys had joined and were wanting to participate in the discussion and contribute to the cause.
2. Girls asked such relevant questions which was so so heartening !!

All about Saturday!!

1. First picture :
First case at the brand new Rejoice Hospital...

A hysteroscopy and endometrial biopsy for a patient with Heavy menstruation. This procedure helps us in diagnosing and treating the cause of Heavy menstruation.

2. Second picture :
An inspiring patient....a mother who built a part of her life through a sport.
Often times, patients inspire us...this was one such occasion. This patient of mine is an international pickle - ball champion 🏆

3. Third picture :
Delivering a baby on your own birthday is so exciting....more so if it falls on the first day of the New Year!
This is on the day the mother and baby were being discharged..

So, this story is really special.

A couple who were unable to conceive walked into my clinic ( with lost hope and frustration).

After entire history and evaluation it turned out to be Oligo/anovulatoryPCOS ( ovulation is either delayed or does not happen at all!! )

Like any other such case( PCOS is the easiest cause of subferlity, btw, according to us) , I prescribed her meds for egg formation and release.

To their surprise (and my relief!!) they conceived in the first go.....

Real surprise awaited us .....when the first scan was done....it was a TRIPLET pregnancy!! Yes, she made 3 eggs this cycle ( common in PCOS and all of them got fertilized and all of them.got implanted....!!!)

Again, counselling sessions followed and they proceeded with NonSelective Fetal reduction on one triplet. Now , pregnancy continued as twins.

Mother (my dear dear patient!) had Gestational diabetes mellitus (again a common occurrence with PCOS Pregnancy) she needed insulin...but she happily took the entire treatment.

Finally, we delivered these little angles during this Navratra.

As I always say, God gives Twins to strong mothers!
