Homostasis refers to balanced and stable internal environment of body through relatively having normal temperature, normal level of blood sugar, proper water balance etc. When the level of homostasis is disturbed, behaviours like irritability, indigestion, insomnia and other uncomfortable states often result.
Most of the diseases such as hypertension, migraine, heart disease, diabetes, high or low blood pressure etc are result of poor lifestyle. We all know and aware of that still we do very less efforts in bringing changes in our lifestyle.
The need is to have balanced diet, proper sleep, exercise and healthy daily routine to keep equilibrium in body and homostasis in control. By keeping healthy life style we can be cheerful and blissful that would help to have healthy body and mind.
To get all in order and for all that efforts it is important to have healthy state of mind first then only we put efforts. To achieve that one need to follow Positive psychology interventions
Positive psychology works by improving on what is already there and extends its help by cultivating inner strengths. Following are few examples of PPI to gather that inner strength and drive it towards working on to correct our Homeostasis.
Savoring: By continuous encouraging self and others towards positive thoughts, experiences. Savoring interventions can be connected to everyday experiences like eating, smelling, or observing, only with a little more orientation and focus to what we are consciously attending to (Bryant, Smart, & King, 2005). Savoring PPIs can be reliably used for treating depression and mood disorders, as they produce happiness and self-satisfaction.
Kindness: We all possess kindness as trait. It is not about how much money you spend. The goal of kindness activities is to promote happiness through such altruistic and selfless contentment.
Gratitude interventions : Gratitude s PPI intervention are categorized into two parts:
Self-reflective practices, for example, writing a gratitude journal that we keep to ourselves and use as a tool for self-expression.
Interactive methods where we actively express our gratitude to others by saying ‘thank you,’ giving small tokens of appreciation, or paying gratitude visits.
Empathy PPIs
Empathy-oriented PPIs focus on strengthening positive emotions in interpersonal relationships. Healthy social bonds – both at personal and professional fronts are essential for happiness and inner peace
