The American Heart Association is a proud supporter of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Safe + Sound Week! We encourage you to participate and showcase your commitment to health and safety in the workplace.

More and more people are surviving cardiac events — BUT NOT WOMEN.

The American Heart Association is proud to release our first-ever Hands-Only CPR + AED training video featuring a female victim.

In a 2017 study of more than 19,000 people who had cardiac events men’s odds of surviving a cardiac event were 23% higher than women’s. Only 39% of women received CPR from bystanders in public compared to 45% of men.

As a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives, the AHA is working tirelessly to inform and empower all Americans to step in during a cardiac arrest – regardless of race, background, or gender.
