                                            PURVOTTANASANA ..
The name Purvottanasana comes from the sanskrit words “Purva”, meaning east or front, and “Ut” , meaning intense or powerful.
This pose involves lifting the heart and opening the chest towards the east, which symbolizes new beginnings and growth.
The heart center or Anahata chakra (Green chakra) is associated with love, compassion and connection.
By practicing Purvottanasana, one can activate and expand this chakra, allowing for greater openness, vulnerability and connection with oneself and others.
Purvottanasana can help to strengthen and stretch the body . It engages the arms, wrists, and shoulders to support the weight of the body, which helps to build strength in those areas.
As the torso lifts upward, the chest and front of the body are stretched, which can improve posture and breathing.
Additionally, it increases self-confidence, focus, concentration and reduces anxiety, stress and depression.
