Rakhi isn’t just about gifts or rituals; it's about showing up when it counts. And sometimes, that means reminding your sibling to take their health seriously.

Whether it’s nudging them to quit smoking, encouraging regular check-ups, or simply paying attention to a symptom they keep brushing off, this is the kind of protection that truly matters.

This Raksha Bandhan, don’t just tie a thread. Start a conversation that could save a life.

[Raksha Bandhan health message, cancer prevention tips, sibling health awareness, early signs of cancer, quit smoking for family]

Cancer is complex, and so is its treatment. Relying on a single opinion may miss the bigger picture.

That’s where multidisciplinary cancer care makes all the difference. It brings together a team of experts, such as medical oncologists, surgeons, radiologists, pathologists, and more, to create a personalised treatment plan that works best for you.

Every voice matters. When specialists work together, patients benefit from better coordination, fewer delays, and improved outcomes.

Your care should never depend on chance. It should be guided by a team.

Sarcoma may be rare, but it’s one of the most common cancers found in children, teens, and young adults. What often starts as mild pain, swelling, or a limp can easily be mistaken for a sports injury or growing pain.

But sarcomas are fast-growing and can become dangerous if left undiagnosed. If your child or teenager has persistent discomfort, visible lumps, or unexplained bone pain, don’t wait. Early diagnosis and timely treatment significantly improve outcomes.

Awareness is the first step toward protection.

For years, cancer has been surrounded by fear and silence. But the truth is: cancer is no longer a death sentence. What delays treatment and costs lives is the fear of facing it, the myths that cloud judgement, and the hesitation to act.

Modern medicine has made survival possible, and early diagnosis is the key. Don’t let fear decide your fate. Take control. Get informed.

Lung cancer isn’t just a smoker’s disease. A growing number of non-smokers are being diagnosed, and often, it’s caught late because of assumptions and silence. This World Lung Cancer Day, let’s change the narrative. Persistent cough, breathlessness, and chest discomfort – these aren’t symptoms to ignore.

Awareness leads to early detection, and early detection saves lives. Don’t wait for symptoms to get louder. Pay attention, ask questions, and prioritise screening when needed.

Schedule a lung health check and take a proactive step today.

Sarcoma might be rare, but that’s exactly why it gets overlooked.
It can look like a muscle strain. Feel like a lingering lump. Stay silent until it's too late.

As an oncologist, I’ve seen how this misunderstood cancer affects both adults and children, not just physically, but emotionally and socially.

In honour of Sarcoma Awareness Month, I’ve written this piece to shed light on the challenges, the missed diagnoses, the emotional weight, and the urgent need for awareness and research.

Let’s not wait until it hits home. Share this and help start the conversation.

Most people associate HPV with cervical cancer.

But here’s what’s often missed: HPV is now a leading cause of throat cancer, especially in men and younger adults. It spreads silently through oral contact, often without any early symptoms. That’s what makes it dangerous.

The HPV vaccine is not just for women. It’s a safe, effective way to reduce your risk of multiple cancers, including those of the throat, mouth, and tonsils.

What you eat during and after cancer treatment isn’t just about calories, it’s about healing.

A well-balanced, nutrient-rich diet can support your immune system, help you manage fatigue or nausea, and speed upto recovery. Whether you're in active treatment or post-therapy, food choices play a powerful role in your strength and overall well-being.

Recovery is a team effort, and nutrition is on your side.

Not all cancers are the same, and neither are their names.

While carcinomas are more common and start in organs like the breast, lungs, or colon, sarcomas are much rarer and begin in bones, muscles, or connective tissues.

Sarcomas often go undiagnosed because their symptoms are vague or easily mistaken for something else. That’s why awareness matters, especially during Sarcoma Awareness Month.

Knowing the difference can lead to quicker diagnosis, better treatment, and improved outcomes.

Self-care isn’t a luxury; it’s preventive medicine.
On International Self-Care Day, we’re reminded that good health starts with the choices we make every day.

From eating clean and staying active to quitting to***co, managing stress, and showing up for regular health screenings, these small actions build real protection over time.

Especially when it comes to cancer prevention, self-care is not optional. It’s essential.
Start where you are. Start today.

Cancer doesn’t only affect adults. Every year, around 400,000 children are diagnosed with cancer globally, and many of these cases go undetected until it’s advanced.

While paediatric cancers are rare, they often progress quickly. That’s why awareness matters. Recognising early signs like unexplained weight loss, persistent pain, swelling, or unusual fatigue can lead to earlier diagnosis and better outcomes.

Let’s work together to raise awareness, support families, and ensure children receive timely, life-saving care.

Cancer doesn’t care how old you are.

In young adults, symptoms like fatigue, weight loss, or unexplained pain are often misdiagnosed or ignored. That delay can make all the difference.

Young adults can and do get cancer, but many cases are caught late because warning signs are dismissed as "just stress" or "nothing serious".

If something feels off, don’t wait. Trust your body. Ask questions. Get checked.
