I express my sincere gratitude to the 𝐑𝐚𝐣𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐎𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐚𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 for conferring upon me the prestigious “𝐒𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐫.”

It was a privilege to deliver the esteemed 𝐃𝐫 𝐉. 𝐂. 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐚 𝐎𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, instituted in fond memory of 𝐃𝐫 𝐉. 𝐂. 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐚, a highly revered Orthopaedic Surgeon of Rajasthan who played a pivotal role in shaping generations of Young Orthopaedic Surgeons to Advance modern, state-of-the-art orthopaedic care across the state.

In my oration titled “𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐲,” I shared my perspective on the pursuit of excellence—emphasising that true mastery extends beyond Technical Expertise in Knee and Hip Replacement surgery to encompass our responsibilities as Teachers, Mentors, and Human Beings, guided by Ethics, Empathy, Discipline, and Continuous Learning.

I delivered this oration during the “37th Annual Conference of the Rajasthan Orthopaedic Surgeons Association - ROSACON 2026, held from 9th –11th January 2026 at Pushkar, and organised by the Department of Orthopaedics, JLN Medical College & Ajmer Orthopaedic Society, Ajmer.

As the 𝐎𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧 of the much sought-after "𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐊𝐧𝐞𝐞 & 𝐇𝐢𝐩 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 (𝐑𝐀𝐂)-𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓”, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all those who contributed to its 𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬. It was deeply satisfying to witness the enthusiastic response from across the country and neighboring countries. The response was so remarkable that we had to stop registrations nearly one month before the event. We had about 𝟗𝟎𝟎 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 & 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬 at the Second Knee & Hip Revision Arthroplasty Conference, held at hotel The Grand, New Delhi on 5th,6th and 7th December 2025.

What began as a vision to create a 𝐃𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐊𝐧𝐞𝐞 & 𝐇𝐢𝐩 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐲) materialized with 𝐑𝐀𝐂 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫, India’s first focused meet of its kind. The overwhelming response continued this year, with 𝐑𝐀𝐂 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 being oversubscribed well in advance, reflecting the growing academic relevance of this conference!!

Despite 𝐮𝐧𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐰𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐅𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐫𝐮𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, which posed significant challenges to our Faculty and Delegates, the spirit of academic commitment prevailed and the Scientific Program went on uninterrupted with full attendance. 𝐑𝐀𝐂 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 witnessed 𝐏𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝟗:𝟎𝟎 𝐚𝐦 𝐭𝐨 𝟕:𝟑𝟎 𝐩𝐦 𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐲𝐬, 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐲 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐞-𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐀𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 throughout the conference.

Comprehensive sessions addressed complex challenges in 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐇𝐢𝐩 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐊𝐧𝐞𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, enriched by the immense expertise and global perspectives of our esteemed 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐲.

A major academic highlight was the outstanding 𝐊𝐞𝐲𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐞 𝐀𝐝𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐛𝐲 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐖𝐚𝐲𝐧𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐤𝐲, which added exceptional depth to the scientific deliberations.

The 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬-𝐨𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐊𝐧𝐞𝐞 & 𝐇𝐢𝐩 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐬, featuring live surgical demonstrations and practical insights, once again drew full participation and were oversubscribed.

The conference also received wide 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞, further amplifying its academic and public impact.
