Nikhil joined Adharshila in April as the Social Media Consultant, after a chance opportunity through LinkedIn. His role involves capturing the organization’s work across various platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and the website. One moment that deeply moved him was during a visit to Kalawati Hospital, where he saw a newborn baby undergoing dialysis. Nearby, a mother sat silently beside her ventilated child. He photographed the scene quietly, from behind. That raw, emotional, and unposed image stayed with him, reminding him that behind every project of Adharshila lie real lives and fragile hope.

Nikhil values the leadership of Neena Ma’am, the supportive team, and all the learning he’s gained. Looking ahead, he hopes to help Adharshila grow its digital visibility and reach, believing that its story and sincerity deserve a national platform.

Ms. Jahnvi Borgohain

What began as an office internship at Adharshila felt like being welcomed into a large, warm family. Under the guidance of Ms Neena Jolly, who took me under her wing with patience and generosity, I learned lessons that went far beyond work. She is a constant source of inspiration for me, not just in the incredible grassroots change she drives, but also in the way she leads wonderfully with compassion and grace.

At Adharshila, I had the privilege of contributing to research, drafting reports and communications, and creating content that gave voice to the work being done on the ground. I also helped with social media storytelling, interviewing team members and highlighting the Trust’s ongoing efforts.

What will always stay with me, though, are the field visits, where I witnessed firsthand the resilience of communities and the tireless dedication of our teams. Translating those observations into stories was both humbling and deeply meaningful.

I would like to extend a huge and heartfelt thanks to Ms Neena Jolly for giving me this opportunity to learn and grow here as a person. Also a big thanks to Nikhil for taking me on, and guiding me every step of the way!

Lakshmi (Intern)

Lakshmi joined Adharshila as an intern in June, drawn by the desire to learn and gain real-world exposure. In her internship, she assisted Pramod Sir with data entry for the homeopathy project, entering patient details and diagnoses. She says the experience has been incredibly enriching, teaching her not only technical skills like Excel and data interpretation, but also essential soft skills, including communication and professionalism.

A workshop and a medical camp in Gaul Pahadi particularly stood out for their interactive and human aspects. She credits Pramod Sir for being a mentor who guided her beyond just the task at hand. Lakshmi feels that Adharshila is an ideal space for young professionals looking to grow. For Lakshmi, Adharshila has been a meaningful stepping stone toward personal and professional growth.

Sachin Ji ( Office Helper )

Sachin joined Adharshila as an Office Helper, stepping into a new kind of role after previously working as a technical operator at Tikamsha. Though still early in his journey, he has found the work environment peaceful, welcoming, and easy to adjust to. While he hasn’t yet experienced any standout moments, he’s slowly becoming familiar with the responsibilities and is open to learning new skills over time. He appreciates the friendliness of the staff and the respectful culture that defines daily interactions.

For Sachin, it’s the small things, such as the calm atmosphere and the approachable team, that make Adharshila feel like a good place to grow. He looks forward to discovering his path within the organization.

Akash Maurya ( Field Worker )

Akash Maurya joined Adharshila in June 2024, transitioning from the commercial logistics sector to a purpose-driven role in healthcare outreach. Initially applying for a peon’s position, he was entrusted with greater responsibility - a gesture that deeply encouraged him. Now managing field visits and hospital inventory, Akash finds meaning in bringing medical access to underserved communities.

He values the collaborative, ego-free work environment and the direct support from leadership, which he finds rare and empowering. Over the past year, he has grown in confidence and communication and has even developed a basic understanding of healthcare systems. For Akash, every health camp or patient smile reinforces that he’s contributing to something real. At Adharshila, he says, small efforts create visible, lasting impact - and that’s what keeps him going.

Hemant Kumar ( Stock Keeper )

Hemant has been with Adharshila since August 2004, working as an Accounts Assistant - a journey marked by growth and creativity. Initially joining to build skills and gain dignified financial independence, he learned Tally and DTP while receiving consistent encouragement from Geeta Ma’am and the head office team. His experience is rich with fond memories: birthdays, team outings, and quiet acts of learning. Known for his precision and artistic flair, Hemant also lends his talent to poster-making and creative materials.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, he played a key role in organizing ground-level relief by distributing masks, solar lights, food, and sanitizers. He values the space Adharshila offers for feedback and initiative, and though he bonds most closely with the head office team, he maintains a good rapport across departments.

Madhur Rana ( Project Assistant )

Madhur has been with Adharshila for nearly three years, working as a Project Assistant in the Adharshila Renal Care Project. Joining straight after completing his Master’s in Public Health, he stepped into the organization as a fresher with no prior medical background. Madhur recalls with pride how he joined when the Renal Care Project was just an idea, helping build it from the ground up, and seeing it become fully operational.

For him, the most rewarding part is knowing that dialysis treatments, often financially devastating for families, are provided free of cost. He values the supportive, perfection-driven leadership and the collaborative environment, crediting Adharshila for shaping his skills, his confidence, and his commitment to public health.
