The MP Heart Clinic was started in 1983 was by a visionary and renowned Cardiologist, Dr. Umesh Gupta, who is among the first few “DM” Cardiologists in India. The MP Heart Clinic has been a prominent landmark for the residents of Delhi/NCR. In the 1980’s, it was the first ICU in the private sector and was among the first in the Delhi/NCR to start Echocardiography. Dr. Gupta also introduced the “Tilt Table test” and “Late Potential Analysis” for the first time in India. In 1996, Dr. Gupta started “Umkal Hospital” in Gurgaon, which is one of the oldest and most respected hospitals in the area.
