Myths and misconceptions of scaling or cleaning of teeth:
It dont cause any harm to the enamel or outer surface of teeth
It only removes plaque and calculus residing in between teeth and gingiva(gums).
It dont have any role in loosening or mobility of tooth. In case a person came with aggressive periodontitis than he or she may feel mobility and to prevent it one should go for dentist for scaling every 6 months.
It also helps in tightening of gingiva(gums) and stop the bleeding of gums and bad odour of the mouth.
One can go for scaling or cleaning of teeth in every 6 months or 1 year to prevent diseases like pyorrhea ( periodontitis), early caries detection and bleeding gums

Occlusal night guard should be given to patient who is a bruxer and grind teeth in night and it is a psychological habit often occur as a result of stress and patient ignores it and often comes to the clinic when its too late.
