Penguin Clinic's
Quick Tips for Parents!

Dear Parents,

Delhi’s pollution levels are extremely high. To protect your child’s health, follow these essential steps:
1. Keep Indoor Air Clean
• Keep windows closed during peak pollution hours (early morning & late evening).
• Run an air purifier continuously in the child’s room if available.
• Use wet mopping instead of dry brooming to reduce dust.
2. Protect Outdoors
• Avoid outdoor play when AQI >200.
• If stepping out is unavoidable, use well-fitting N95 masks for children above 5 years.
3. Strengthen Immunity
• Ensure adequate hydration, fruits, and vegetables.
• You can give saline nasal washes once or twice daily to clear pollutants.
• Avoid unnecessary cold drinks and junk food during this period.
4. Watch for Warning Signs
• Persistent cough, breathing difficulty, noisy breathing, excessive tiredness, or poor appetite require timely medical evaluation.
Please stay alert and take preventive steps every day until air quality improves. Your child’s lungs are still developing and are more sensitive to pollution.

Penguin Clinic for Child Health
Kid's Health Guide....

3 Ways to Protect Children from Mosquitoes

1). AVOID MOSQUITO HANGOUTS
One of the best ways to keep mosquitoes away from your kids is to keep your kids away from areas where mosquitoes like to hang out.

This includes areas that are -heavily wooded,
-are overgrown with vegetation, or
-have standing water where mosquitoes like to breed.

2). PICK THE RIGHT CLOTHING TO HELP PROTECT KIDS FROM MOSQUITOES
Tightly woven long-sleeve shirts, long pants, and anything that covers up the body can help protect kids from mosquito bites.

However, it’s best to go with loose-fitting clothes as mosquitoes can sometimes bite through tight-fitting material.

3). HELP KEEP MOSQUITOES AWAY FROM BABIES WITH A NET
Help protect your baby from mosquitoes when you’re outside by placing a mosquito net over their stroller. Use mosquito nets over beds and cribs to help protect children of all ages while they sleep.

🦋 Penguin Clinic – Your Child’s Health Guardian
📵 3 Easy, Practical Tips for parents to decrease screen viewing in kids.
"Too much screen, too little play – your child's brain learns the wrong way."

👶 Is your child glued to a phone or tablet?
Excessive screen time is now linked to:
⚠️ Speech delays
⚠️ Poor focus
⚠️ Frequent tantrums
⚠️ Sleep issues
⚠️ Lower social skills

Let’s change this — with 3 Easy, Practical Tips for parents:

✅ 1. Make “No-Screen Zones” at Home

🚫 Dining table, bedrooms, bathrooms = phone-free!
🍽️ Use mealtimes for storytelling or fun chats.
👀 Add stickers/signs – kids love visuals!

✅ 2. Try the “Activity Swap” Trick

🎲 Offer puzzles, drawing, dancing, or kitchen help before they ask for the phone.
💡 Pro tip: Join the fun – they’ll forget the screen!

✅ 3. Let Them “Earn” Screen Time

🎯 30 mins of reading = 10 mins of cartoons.
📊 Use sticker charts to track.
📱 Always allow age-appropriate content only.

✨ Final Tip: Kids copy what they see.
Limit your own screen time, and they’ll follow. 😊

💚 Give your child more play, more bonding, more life.
Mobiles can wait — childhood won’t. 🌿
