FISH OIL VS. COD LIVER OIL
Omega-3 from fish oil have multifaceted power like reducing inflammation, optimum heart health and even burning body fat. These are more than enough reasons to incorporate these into our daily routine
- Cod liver oil contains Omega-3, Vitamin A and D
- Fish oil contains just Omega-3, but higher in amounts as compared to cod liver oil
- Why are you consuming these? If the answer is for healthy fats (omega-3), then consuming fish oil is COST EFFECTIVE as you get more omega-3/g of oil
- Secondly, Vitamin D content in cod liver oil is good, but not for countries like India where you get enough of it via sunlight. Remember, vitamin A and D are fat soluble and get toxic when consumed in excess!
Hence cod liver oil is now becoming an olden days thing, as in a modern day household you are more likely to find a container of fish oil capsules taking its place
