It's a somewhat disturbing trend, but the average Imaging clinic in India is not so much bothered about the quality of its reports/ reads as they should be. A poor scan with a good report is manifold better than a brilliant scan with average or poor interpretation. Have recently come across so many examples of this phenomenon with misdiagnoses going on even at the most apical hospitals/ institutes. Wonder what is the most effective solution for this? To 'enlighten' Radiologists to somehow upgrade or to educate/support Radiologists as and when they seek help... wish at least one of these could be followed.
