𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐡𝐢: The Children's Islamic Organization of India (CIO) is celebrating Children's Day across various cities in the country. On this occasion, students affiliated with CIO are presenting a memorandum to city administrations, appealing for immediate action to improve child welfare, facilities, and protection.
The organization appreciated the administration's efforts to maintain law and order and create a positive social environment in the city. However, it also highlighted several important issues affecting children's development and welfare.
The memorandum includes the following demands:
1. Provision and Maintenance of Parks and Playgrounds: The organization demanded that more public parks and playgrounds be created for children, and that existing facilities be better maintained with swings and other recreational amenities to promote children's physical and social development.
2. Effective Implementation of Right to Education: The organization emphasized that the Right to Education Act should be implemented completely and effectively, especially for children from backward and disadvantaged communities.
3. Regarding Stray Dogs: CIO stated in its demands that the increasing number of stray dogs in the city is causing fear among children. Therefore, this issue should be resolved in accordance with humanitarian considerations to ensure children's safety while respecting animal rights.
4. Improved Law and Order for Child Protection: The organization stressed the need for additional measures to protect children so they can go to school without fear and move about freely.
5. Emphasis on Equality and Elimination of Discrimination in Educational Institutions: CIO demanded that no discrimination based on religion, caste, color, or economic background be practiced in schools, and that an equal and dignified educational environment be provided for all children.
At the conclusion of the memorandum, the Children's Islamic Organization (CIO) expressed hope that the administration will take immediate and effective action on these demands so that our children can grow up in a safe, healthy, and prosperous environment and become responsible citizens of the country.
